Does acupuncture hurt?
I use very fine, disposable needles with a gentle needle technique. Often, you won't even feel the needles going in. Occasionally, there can be momentary discomfort or an electrical feeling when a needle turns a signal back on that had been turned off.
How does acupuncture work?
The needles go into specific points in the body that turn signals on and give directions to the body, like increase blood flow, decrease inflammation, balance hormones, and regulate the nervous system.
How many treatments do I need?
It will depend on your health issues. Chronic health issues usually take longer to reverse than acute ones. Changing chronic conditions is like turning a large ship in the ocean. It takes time to completely turn the ship around, but you should still notice increasing benefits after each visit.
Do I take insurance?
Many insurance companies will reimburse you for out of network acupuncture treatments. Please let me know and I will give you a superbill to submit to your insurance. I currently am not in network with any insurance companies.
